2006
Dr. Sheppy Coodin was the recipient of the prestigious Biogen Idec Teaching Excellence Award. Dr. Coodin’s first place in the BIOTECanada – Biogen Idec Teaching Excellence Award included a $5,000 cash prize that was divided equally between himself and Gray Academy. The first place win was based on his new and exciting approach to bringing biotech to the next generation of Manitoba and Canadian scientists. Sheppy was featured in the Winnipeg Sun and on Breakfast TV among other media outlets. |

Joyce Kerr and Rochelle Gamliel were the recipients of the prestigious Jewish Education Service of North America Inc.’s (JESNA) seventh annual national Grinspoon-Steinhardt Awards for Excellence in Jewish Education. Joyce Kerr teaches Grade One Judaic Studies as well as being one of the school’s vice-principals; Rochelle Gamliel is a high school Judaic Studies teacher with a specialty in Holocaust Education. Joyce and Rochelle were featured in the Winnipeg Free Press and the Jewish Post among other media outlets. |

Carol Leszcz teaches Junior Kindergarten and Anat Ekhoiz is a high school Hebrew and Judaic Studies teacher. Anat and Carol were featured in the Canadian Jewish News and the Winnipeg Free Press among other media outlets. |
